Hello
I am new to this synchronet bbs. I am trying to run some older door games, I can not seem to get any to work. All the pre installed games are fine.
Is it that just the old 16 bit dos games will not run on 32 bit, even through syncronet bbs?
I have patched the exe files with tppatch.
the bbs system says I'm running the game but nothing happens, on either end. I.E. running in local mode.
Just asking.
Thanks

not sure what you mean copy fossil to win32 system. I am using the local installed fossil in SBBS.

Yeah, typically it's SBBSEXEC.DLL that you'd have to copy to c:\windodows\system32, not a fossil driver.
I typically use the Synchronet
internal fossil driver and have never had to copy anything fossil-related out of the Synchronet directory.

SBBSEXEC.DLL is the 32-bit portion of the Synchronet Virtual UART/FOSSIL driver. And it's automatically copied to the Windows system32 director upon install (and has been very *many* years/versions of Synchronet).

Probably. <shrug> That addition was made to the Windows installer around the time of Windows Vista, circa 2007.

oh i was always telling people to copy their files into system32
to fix their issues, maybe they never used the installer and used
the cvs.

Ah. I only ever ran the installer once when I first installed Synchronet in 2007. Over the years, I'd moved my BBS to different PCs (physical and virtual) several times, so I'd manually copy that DLL (I didn't think there would be a need to run the installer again).

Or maybe you're just clueless.
