• Netmail question

From Richard Vonzel@21:1/206 to All on Friday, March 19, 2021 14:17:04
Is there a way to address a netmail message is it goes out as direct instead of routed?

In mystic -cfg -> Configuration -> Message Base Settings there is a setting for Netmail Direct Yes|No:

    Message Settings

List Compression | Yes Quote Color | Sample
List Columns | 2 Text Color | Sample
Show Message Header | Yes Tear Color | Sample
Bases in Group List | Yes Origin Color | Sample
Max AutoSig Lines | 4 Kludge Color | Sample
Force NL Match | No Netmail Crash | No
Extended Reply ACS | Netmail Hold | No
Attachment ACS | s255 Netmail Killsent | No
Msg Upload ACS | Netmail Direct | No
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Add [ANSI] Prefix | Echo Only Create Semaphore | MsgPost
Add Re: Prefix | Yes Ask Message Post | No
    Default Origin | Northern Realms

But there doesn't appear to be a way to set that in Mystic on a per message basis.

When I wanted to send netmail direct I always add the target node as an echomail node.

It's not the best solution but it works.

If you make changes to your echomail nodes you might have to shutdown and restart mis.

I was running the Pi version. I just downloaded the Windows A47 to double check and it's there in that verison as well.
