So I'm going to setup a domain with letscrypt running synchronet.

i see the wiki, is there anything else i need to do with letscrypt?
I'm looking for more of tutorial instead of what i see here.

where and how do i get the account key?

Do i have to do anything with letscrypt or do i just setup
    ctrl/letscrypt.ini

well i think i'll wait for a while with 3.20.
i copied files off git, got the sbbs_dev files copied over.
    i also ran update.js

i also have the sbbsctrl env variable and sbbsnode variable set
the thing is, this guy is running his bbs in :
    /synchronet instead of sbbs

maybe that's the issue, but i run scfg and it thinks it's a new bbs and runs the wizard and his door settings, bbs settings, etc are gone.

sbbsctrl says it's pulling config from the right directory.
dunno, his funny install is acting weird with 3.20.

No, there are prebuilt binaries of current v3.20 dev builds available. https://wiki.synchro.net/install:dev

The dates shown on that web page were the file dates (from the file system) rather than the file-added dates, so I see how that could be confusing. The sorting is based on the date-added date, so that should be the date shown. I'll be fixing that.

That said, the sbbs_dev.* files aren't re-added daily, just the file on the file system is updated, so it wouldn't show at the top of the list (when sorting by date) anyway.

    the Internet.

I'm not sure why people can't get to https://lunarout.synchro.net
    or http://lunarout.synchro.net
I've connected to my system from multiple systems outside my network. Some connections via chrome on android phone, and some using edge on MS

my browser says your https is not secure.
you have a self signed cert.

Thanks for checking my site MRO.

Well that is a step in the right direction. Others said my site was down.

the letsyncrypt isn't working for me yet so I have a self-signed cert.

something with cloudflare not likely me or something. I'm not sure.
